Vivian Gao discovered her passion in real estate when she singlehandedly sold her family’s home almost two decades ago. Ever since then, she has been directly investing in and managing/leasing properties. It is her lifelong passion to become a matchmaker in real estate. As a multi-property owner, Vivian appreciates the time, mental and financial commitment involved in identifying and negotiating the ideal home. Finding the perfect home for her client is her definition of success. She is respectful of her clients’ preferences and timeline and customizes each search to their needs. With her real estate degree, the support of the Oxford Property Group, and more importantly, direct experience in purchasing/selling/managing properties, Vivian is able to shepherd her clients throughout the search and transition process. Her clients tend to return and she has been able to grow her network primarily from referrals. Prior to being real estate agent, Vivian worked with a few Wall Street companies such as Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and HSBC. Vivian has close to 20 years of experience in finance and accounting which helped sharpened her market instinct. The most important lesson she learned from Wall Street is “common sense investing”, or put differently, “ how to not lose money”. She graduated from State University of Buffalo with triple majors in Accounting, Finance and Management Information System. She also obtained a Master degree in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Vivian moved to New York City in the 1990s, and has settled in various neighborhoods from Rego Park, Upper East Side, West Village and is currently residing in the Financial District. She is familiar with all areas of New York. In her spare time, she is a freelance photographer. She is transferring her love of real estate to her son as she regularly takes him to explore new neighborhoods and developments in the city. She also loves to travel, cook and spend time with her family and friends.
